Date published: 12 December 2019

The Voice UK semi finalists NXTGEN will visit Oasis Academy in Oldham today (13th December) and The Oldham Academy North on the 18th December.

NXTGEN are visiting schools around the UK this month to perform a few songs and talk to the school children about their experiences in the industry, staying safe in a digital age, cyber-bullying, and their inspirations, plans for 2020 etc.

The band, Joel, Sonny and Kian- have recently been in LA for two months writing and recording with WILL.I.AM and have also been in the studio with Meghan Trainor.

The Oldham Evening Chronicle spoke to the band- Kian said, "I think its important for young people not to get to involved in soical media- in our 20s it's a massive part of our life but i remeber when it wasn't.

"It's good for us, we've seen both sides of the coin.

"Social media is a great tool especially in the music industry but our advice is not to take everything to heart that you see on there."

The three-piece recently released their brand new single, Sucka 4 Love.
