Two people have been arrested after police executed a warrant in Manchester.
This morning (Friday), police executed warrant at a residential property in the North Manchester area.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.
A 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
They remain in police custody for questioning.
Officers also seized several thousand pounds in cash, tens of thousands of pounds worth of suspected Spice and a quantity of suspected class A drugs.
Enquiries are ongoing.
Inspector Jon Shilvock, of GMP’s City of Manchester district, said: “This warrant was executed by Operation Orion –a dedicated team of officers based in the city centre who investigate serious crime linked to Manchester city centre itself.
“These officers carry out surveillance and gather intelligence to identify anyone who might be involved in serious crime in order to take appropriate action to bring offenders to justice and protect members of the public.
“Today’s seizures will hopefully significantly reduce the supply of drugs coming in to the city centre.”
