An Oldham man has been jailed after admitting his role in a road rage attack in Ashton, during which he was driving a stolen vehicle.
Sam Dymond, now aged 31, of Knott Lane in Oldham, was jailed for ten months and two weeks after he admitted dangerous driving, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of failing to attend court.
A post on the GMP Tameside North and East Facebook page read: “Local Neighbourhood Beat Officer Pc Grange, who dealt with incident which ended on Boodle Street in Ashton, stated that Dymond, then 27, was driving a stolen white van, got into a road rage attack and called his female victim a 'f***ing s**g' and rammed his white van into her, causing her to go over the bonnet before she ended up on the road.
“Dymond drove off at speed then dumped the stolen white van before setting it on fire.
“Luckily his victim escaped without serious injury and Dymond is now where he belongs.”
