A man reportedly suffered 'five suspected stab wounds' in what police say was a 'senseless' attack at Middleton shopping centre.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing at around 12.50pm on Saturday afternoon (August 14).
A man in his 40s was rushed to hospital in a 'serious but non-life-threatening condition for treatment to stab wounds', according to officers.
One man was detained by police and taken to custody on suspicion of attempted murder - a knife was also recovered close to the scene, Greater Manchester Police later confirmed.
