You can meet author Mike Keegan and Joe Royle
Joe Royle makes a welcome return to Oldham next month to celebrate the launch of a new book about his time at Latics.
The Oldham Athletic legend will be in Waterstones in Spindles Town Square Shopping Centre on Saturday 13th November, along with the book's author, Mike Keegan.
Described as "The ultimate rags to riches football story", 'This is How It Feels: An English Football Miracle' is already Oldham's best-selling book, and tells the tale of one of the great, untold football miracles of all time.
Joe Royle led unfancied Oldham from the shadows of their illustrious Manchester neighbours and embarked on a thrilling, white knuckle ride to the summit of the English game.
This book has been a labour of love for Oldham born, former BBC reporter Keegan, who interviewed all the key characters to produce a richly entertaining story of Oldham's remarkable rags to riches rise.
Joe Royle spent more than 12 years as a manager at Boundary Park, taking Oldham Athletic from the brink of extinction to their first cup final at Wembley.
Both Mike Keegan and Joe Royle will be signing books in Waterstones on Saturday 13th November between 12pm and 1pm.
If you've previously purchased the book from Waterstones, please bring along your receipt.
