A man has been charged with conspiracy to commit the murder of Thomas Campbell in Mossley earlier this month.
Thomas Campbell, who was 38, was found dead at an address on Riverside in Mossley at around 10.30am on Sunday, July 3.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene and a murder investigation was launched.
Stephen Cleworth (aged 37), of Charles Street in Heywood, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
He appeared at Manchester Magistrates today (Monday) and has been remanded until his next appearance on August 15 at Manchester Crown Court.
A 31-year-old who was arrested on suspicion of murder on July 7 has been released without charge.
The investigation continues and anyone with information is urged to do the right thing and report it.
