Stolen JCB was heading towards Oldham - two arrested

Two men have been arrested after on suspicion of conspiracy to commit theft after a stolen JCB was spotted travelling in the direction of Oldham, from Ashton.
A post on the Tameside North and East Facebook page read: "A report of a JCB having just been stolen from a construction site in Ashton came in last night.
"Luckily the neighbourhood teams were not too far away and made a search of the area as it was last seen travelling on Lees Road towards Oldham.
"Response officers and NPAS also assisted with the search.
"The JCB was found parked up on Alt Hill Road by the Ashton Hurst Neighbourhood Team.
"Two males arrested nearby for conspiracy to commit theft."
