Oldham Golf Club Captain John Wood was delighted to raise £1,300 for his chosen charity, The Christie, during his year of office.
He chose the charity as his wife Pauline is suffering from cancer and is still undergoing treatment at The Christie.
John invited the two ladies from The Christie to dine with him, his wife and the other dignitaries at the club’s annual dinner dance, then presented the cheque to them.
