Bill Quinn back as chairman of Oldham Rugby League Club

Chorley-based Bill Quinn has joined Oldham’s new board
More than a decade after leaving the club as chairman, North-West business man Bill Quinn is back in the hot seat at Oldham Rugby League Club.
Aged 57, Chorley-based Quinn joined the club’s new board and was immediately announced as its chairman and seventh director, alongside vice-chairman Gary Kershaw, managing director Mike Ford and four others - Mick Harrington, Jim Minton, Haydn Walker and Simon Winnard.
Five of the seven live in Oldham or Saddleworth, with Quinn (Chorley) and Walker (Wigan) the out-of-towners.
Said Ford, the former Oldham scrum-half star and Great Britain tourist, who takes charge of the club on a day-to-day basis: “Bill is passionate about Oldham Rugby and he brings a wealth of experience that will strengthen and enhance our management team.”
Added Quinn: “I left the Oldham club a few years ago, but the Oldham club never left me.
"During my talks with the other directors I’ve been impressed by their professionalism, enthusiasm and ambition, which is the same as mine.
"We all want to see a return to the glory days.”
Bill should not be confused with Jim Quinn (no relation), who was chairman of the club in its Oldham Bears days before it went into liquidation in 1997.
