Boundary Park set to host re-arranged Roughyeds game

Roughyeds will play at Boundary Park permanently from next season
The ‘new’ Oldham Rugby League Club, whose front man is managing director and temporary head coach Mike Ford, will play its re-arranged game against Workington Town at a revamped Boundary Park, home of Latics, on the evening of Wednesday, August 23, with a 7.30pm kick-off.
Roughyeds will play at Boundary Park permanently from next season, but this game is a one-off because there isn’t a suitable Sunday before the end of the season and the Vestacare Stadium, the club’s current home, is not available in mid-week.
Said Ford: “We can’t thank Latics enough.
"This is another example of the fantastic relationship we have with them.
"Their facilities are fantastic, we’ll play on a new £1m pitch put in by Oldham Council and it will be an exciting night for the club and the town.”
Oldham, guaranteed a play-off place, are going all out for promotion from Betfred League One, having signed players like Pat Moran, Josh Johnson and Nick Rawsthorne in recent weeks.
