Murder arrest follows death of man in Oldham in 2023

Mr Shaw was assaulted in September 2023, but sadly died in November of that year
Greater Manchester Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
The arrest is in connection with the death of Martin Shaw in Oldham in 2023.
Police began investigating an assault after a 45-year-old man was reportedly bundled into a grey Audi on Ashton Road, near the junction with Kent Street in Hathershaw, back on September 10, 2023.
GMP said the man was driven away and assaulted before being taken back home.
He later attended Royal Oldham Hospital in a critical condition.
The man, now known to be Mr Shaw, sadly died in November of that year.
The arrested man remains in custody for questioning.
