Saddleworth Rangers Girls Rugby League player and super fund-raiser Abi
A 10-year-old Saddleworth Rangers Girls Rugby League player will be joined by some of her team-mates next weekend as they walk from their club to Rochdale Hornets' stadium in a bid to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.
Any money raised from Saturday's walk will be split between the MND Association, the All Hornets Supporters' Club and funding a trip to Wembley as the girls are to be mascots for the women’s challenge cup final on June 7.
Abi and her friends have raised well over £1,000 so far, after initially having set a target of £500.
Abi and her mum Janet have been brilliant.
She travels from Failsworth every Saturday with her mum on the bus to get to training at Rangers, showing real commitment.
