Date published: 12 May 2025
What a celebration it was as RBL regulars marked VE Day in style
The Failsworth Branch of the Royal British Legion hosted a magical VE Day 80th Anniversary celebration event at the Church Hall at the Holy Family venue on Lord Lane.
It was a fantastic evening, enjoyed by everyone.
Dom Collins, a local entertainer, performed at the party - he is a very much loved member of the community.
He kept the evening flowing with his music, stories and jokes.
The evening was attended by Cadets from RAF Squadron (Failsworth and Newton Heath), who drummed the escort of the Failsworth Standard at the beginning of the event.
Many of Failsworth's local veterans were present and special applause was raised for them.
