Hulme Grammar students' hard work pays off handsomely

Date published: 21 August 2025

There were lots of excellent results achieved by Hulme Grammar School's GCSE cohort of 2025.

Over 10% of the year group achieved the elusive Grade 9, a quarter Grade 8 and 9 and half the students Grade 7 to 9.

These results are built on years of hard work by students and teachers, with many of the students having been part of the Hulme family since the earliest years of Nursery.

Hulme Grammar is particularly well known for its STEM education, producing a number of Medics and Dentists each year.

This trend is set to continue with an astonishing 80% of students achieving the highest grades in Further Maths and Chemistry.

These students will enter our Sixth Form well placed to achieve the grades they require for Medical Degrees following their A Levels.

This is supported by outstanding opportunities for work experience provided by our Hulme Alumni Network - a distinct advantage when applying for the most competitive courses.

Individual successes came from Ibrahim, and Azlan who each achieved an outstanding full house of 10 Grade 9’s.

Other outstanding achievers, obtaining the top grades, and earning themselves a Scholarship for Sixth Form study were Abdul, William, Zara, Emily, Fliss, Amy, Alishbah, Adebola, Zaynab, Hadi, Kimi, Efe and Sumaya.

Many GCSE students will now enter the Hulme Sixth Form with excellent teaching, small classes and an academic curriculum.

This will set them up for success enabling them to attend the universities and apprenticeships of their choice.

If you would like to see what a Sixth Form education at Hulme could offer your child, please do contact the admissions team on: admissions@hulmegrammar.org

You are also welcome to attend the Hulme Grammar Open Day on September 13 to hear from the students themselves.
