Locals urged to back Party in the Park showpiece

The Party in the Park has always been a popular local event
Organisers of Delph’s famous Party in the Park are desperately asking for support for this year’s event from the locals of Saddleworth.
They say ticket sales are very low at the moment with less than a week to go before the magical event this coming Saturday (27th) at Delph and Dobcross cricket club.
And they say, as it stands, they are now we are looking at making a big loss this year which would wipe out the finances of the Wake Up Delph community account.
Realistically that would mean not only would this be the last year of Party in the Park, but they will also struggle to afford to organise this year’s Delph Christmas lights which organisers are certain no one wants to see.
It’s not too late so hopefully organisers can get enough interest in the next few days to make a difference.
So please, if you want to help keep these traditional Saddleworth events, get your tickets this week and encourage friends and family to come along - it’s a great event.
Tickets are available from Delph and Uppermill post offices and online by simply clicking here
