Greater Manchester Police County Lines officers seized £150,000 in cash, a weapon and arrested one man in an early morning raid.
In the early hours of this morning (Thursday), officers from GMP's County Lines Team, supported by the Force Critical Wanted Unit (FCWU), carried out a warrant at an address on Matthew Fold Way, in Chadderton, as part of an investigation into Organised Crime Groups distributing drugs across the Oldham area.
Officers arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and money laundering.
He remains in custody for questioning.
Around £150,000 in cash was seized during the search as well as a spiked baseball bat.
Detective Superintendent Joe Harrop, from GMP's Serious and Organised Crime Unit, said: “As part of an investigation into drugs lines operating in Oldham, County Lines officers have made and arrest and recovered £150,000 in cash as well as a dangerous weapon.
“We are committed to removing organised crime, drugs and weapons from our streets and protecting lives.
"Organised crime groups prey on vulnerable people, put communities at risk and spread misery in their wake.
“We will continue to disrupt and dismantle OCGs and bring offenders to justice.”
