Community champion Christopher Bannatyne was determined not to be defeated by the callous vandals who initially wrecked his hand-built Christmas tree for children in Delph.
So he patiently rebuilt the wooden treasure.
Christopher said: "The snowman is really happy that he did not receive any life-changing injuries.
"He has had to have limbs screwed and plated, but he is up and recovering - cheers.
"We're all looking forward to a bright new year. Happy Christmas.”
