The wrecked Santa in Delph
Community-minded Christopher Bannatyne has seen his latest Christmas creation wrecked for the second time by vandals in a Saddleworth village.
His handmade colourful wooden snowman he built in Delph for the enjoyment of local children was wrecked by vandals who left a bag of dog poo as an unwelcome calling card.
And a year ago at Christmas, vandals tore through the village, damaging gardens, a greenhouse and a lovingly created Christmas tree he had made.
Said Christopher: "Once again I would like to thank the person or persons that have vandelised the snow man on the river bank.
"Words fail me.
"It was for the children of the village for Christmas.
"I hope you are proud of yourself.”
However, undaunted, Christopher plans to rebuild the snowman.
