On their last day day on Friday (March 20), staff and pupils decided to spread some joy to the people that are working hard to keep everyone safe and well.
The School Council had been fundraising for the last few weeks towards their end of term fun cinema trip.
Unfortunately due to schools closing, they will be unable to go.
Instead of holding onto the money until the school reopens, the team decided they would like to donate it to buying some treats for the nurses and doctors at Oldham hospital.
Their messages was "these people are saving lives. They're the important ones at the moment. We want to do something to make them smile because we know they're working really hard."
Samantha Nicholson-Hickling, PSHE leader at the school, said "I am so proud of our children.
"Between Year 5 making cards to drop in at the care home and the CLT making this kind gesture, it shows me we teach our children the right things.
"They know how to be kind, they know what matters in life and we've helped to teach them that.
"While we were really sad to be sending our children home until we don't know when, we send them home knowing they will be alright.
"They are good people and we've helped teach them that."
Miss Noshad, who sadly will be leaving the school at Easter, is in charge of the CLT team, dropped off the treats to the grateful doctors and nurses.
