The independent business received the award at a ceremony in London in September.

Lancashire Electrical Distributors, known as LED, operates branches in Oldham and Hazel Grove, Stockport.

Established in 1984, the company supplies electricians, contractors, businesses and members of the public across Greater Manchester and the North West.

It acquired Wholesale Electrical Factors, known as WEF, in Oldham in 2025 and subsequently rebranded the branch as Lancashire Electrical Distributors.

The company said the acquisition had expanded its presence in Greater Manchester and allowed it to serve more contractors, tradespeople and businesses in Oldham and surrounding areas.

The Oldham branch has added products from Rolec, Fusebox and Kosnic Lighting, alongside Portwest workwear and personal protective equipment.

The Electrical Wholesaler Awards recognise businesses, brands and individuals across the UK electrical industry.

LED said the award reflected the work of staff across both branches, including its trade counter teams, sales staff and delivery drivers.

The business supplies customers working in social housing, education, commercial and industrial premises, retail, residential developments, and mechanical and electrical contracting.

It said its service includes advice, quotations, local delivery and support for both everyday trade counter purchases and larger commercial projects. The company also offers same-day delivery on stock items.
