Chadderton Park under-16s Griffins line up alongside their Erskine Youth counterparts
Chadderton Park under-18s Lions bowed out of the Tameside Sunday League Sunday Challenge Cup at the semi-final stage, 4-2 away at Whitworth Park.
Josef Rimmer and Brandon Dronny were on target for the Lions.
Park’s under 14’s Lions suffered their first defeat of the North Bury League season, going down 3-2 away at Chaddy End Old Boys.
A disappointing first half display saw the Lions go in at the interval 3-0 down.
The Lions dug deep after the restart and grabbed goals from Dalton Martins and Lewis North, but they weren’t enough.
In the North Manchester Girls’ League, Chaddy Park’s under-13s enjoyed a great 5-3 at SK Vipers.
On the mark were Emily Parsons, Anna Keeling (two), subs Annie Taylor and Poppy Moorhouse.
Meanwhile, Park’s under-16s Griffins – who were without a competitive fixture - agreed to play a friendly against a touring team from Scotland, Erskine Youth, who are based just outside Glasgow.
After a very even first half ended 1-1, the Griffins pushed on in the second half to run out 7-3 victors.
