Chadderton Park under-17s Eagles secured a comprehensive 5-2 win away at Rochdalians in the Tameside Saturday League.

The game was over as a contest in the opening ten minutes with the Eagles storming into a 3-0 lead.

Ben Mulholland headed home from a fine cross, before a Rochdalians defender put the ball into his own net.

It was 3-0 when Niall Webb scored a fine individual goal.

Rochdalians pulled a goal back midway through the first half to make it 3-1.

However, on the stroke of half time the Eagles restored their three goal advantage when Webb scored his second of the game with a cheeky back heel after a pass from Leandro Santos.

Five minutes after the break it was 5-1 when Brandon Reavey scored a stunning long-range goal.

With seconds left, Rochdalians made it 5-2.

Park’s under-17s Cobras dodged the snow as they beat Failsworth West 2-0.

Jack Ellis opened the scoring, chipping the ‘keeper from 25 yards.

Ellis’s shot then ricocheted off Ibrahim Rasul to double our lead.

Chadderton Park under-18s enjoyed a 7-1 win at home to Pennine Juniors in the Bolton, Bury and District League Premier Division.

On target were Jack Dance (three), Morgan Fox (two) and further goals from Joseph Pandolfo and Sam Oko.

Park’s under-14s Lions bagged a comfortable 5-0 win at home to Littleborough Yellows in the North Bury League.

Will Meredith’s stunning left foot curler put the Lions one up.

Dalton Martins finished off well to make it 2-0, before Meredith added his second of the game with a lovely right foot effort.

He completed his hat-trick to make it 4-0.

It was 5-0 when Charlie Sarsfield used the wind to score direct from a corner.
Park’s under-12s Dragons, from the Championship, reached the quarter finals of the League Cup after beating Premiership side FC Unsworth 3-1 on penalties after the game had finished 3-3 in normal time.

The Dragons took the lead when Lewis Newton lofted home a wonderful free kick from 25 yards out.

A long clearance from Leo Davis put Martin Fernandes through on goal and he calmly slotted past the ‘keeper from eight yards.

A great strike from Alfie McMylor gave the Dragons a 3-0 lead.

Unsworth struck back before the break as their striker pounced on a loose ball.

The second half was like a training game of attack vs defence as the Dragons sat deep and Unsworth looked to take advantage of having the driving weather behind them.

They made it 3-3 in the last minute, so the tie went to penalties.

Unsworth took the lead for the first time as they scored their first.

However, this turned out to be the only time they would be in front as the Dragons scored their next three though McMylor, Newton and Josef Cunningham, which was enough to send the Dragons through to the next round.

Chadderton Park under-14s Dragons took the honours in their East Manchester League top-of-the-table clash, winning 4-2 away at leaders SK Olympic.

SK Olympic took the lead when they managed to break free from the Dragons defence.

The Dragons equalised when Saja Manafa struck the ball into the corner.

It was 2-1 a minute later. Manafa crossed the ball for Carlos Santos, who controlled the ball on his chest before volleying home.

A good move from the Dragons saw Manafa finish to make it 3-1.

SK were reduced to ten men when one of their players was shown a red card.

It then got worse for SK when Manafa completed his hat-trick to make it 4-1.

With ten minutes remaining SK pulled a goal back to make it 4-2.

Chaddy Park under-17 Lionesses enjoyed a 1-0 win away at Moss Lane Rovers in the North Manchester Girls’ League Round Robin Cup.

Both teams struggled with the elements, but the Lionesses deserved their victory.

Saskia Baxendale scored the only goal of the game after 17 minutes.

Lucy Reeves capitalised on a defensive mistake to play Saskia through on goal, and she calmly found the net.
