Limehurst Lions under-10s triumphed 38-28 at Chester Gladiators.
The visitors started well with two early tries and added the extra points from the conversations, but a lapse in concentration meant the Gladiators soon hauled themselves level.
Limehurst added another try just before the half time whistle.
The Lions stepped up a gear in the second period and surged into a comfortable lead, but the gladiators were always a threat and added a few more tries to their score.
As the match was coming to a close, Limehurst had a one-try lead, but a fantastic last two sets helped the visitors see out the match by adding two more tries.
Tries came from Taylor Cain, Charlie Cooper, Ben Meah, two from Lewis Owens, Harry schofield and Kye Syed
Conversion were added by Jake Cooper, McKenzie Degnan, Ben Meah, Lewis Owens and Dylan Rodgerson.
