Latics confirm the signing of Ishmael Miller
Oldham Athletic have signed former Manchester City academy graduate Ishmael Miller.
The striker joins Latics on a one-year deal after impressing during a trial period.
The 31-year old worked with manager Frankie Bunn while at City, where he started his career.
He left Eastlands after two seasons, moving to West Brom – where he helped the Baggies win the Championship in 2008.
Miller made 80 appearances for the Baggies, helping them once more to reach the Premier League after winning the Championship title in 2011, before moving to QPR on loan.
Following his time in west London, he signed for Nottingham Forest and has also had spells at Middlesbrough, Yeovil Town, Blackpool and Huddersfield Town.
He has also featured for Bury in League One, since then Miller has been enjoying a break from football.
The striker will wear the number 11 shirt during his time with the club.
