English title shot up next for victorious Bourne

Five Isaan Gym fighters did Oldham proud once again at the weekend - this time at prestigious Yokkao UK Muay Thai event in Bolton.

In action at Bolton Wanderers' University of Bolton Stadium were Oldham prospects Logan Crabb (aged eight), Connor Shaw (15), Luke Mattinson (15), Ella Haywood (16) and Connor Bourne (23).

Bourne, from Waterhead, produced the performance of the evening from the Isaan contingent.

This was his sixth fight, as he made his debut on the Yokkao circuit.

He put in an excellent performance - winning via a points decision.

Bourne's next fight is for for an English title in Liverpool in October.

Isaan Gym Head Coach Steve Donnelly said: "I was extremely proud of all my boxers.

"We came away with three wins and two losses, which is massive for a gym like ours in Oldham."
