Brave Oldham women defeated in league opener

It's a try late in the game for Oldham captain Sophie Wright
RUGBY UNION: Oldham's women fell to a comprehensive 75-10 defeat at home against Trafford MV in their opening game of the North West League season.
With a very new squad, and the absence of some key players, this was always going to be a tough challenge against a competitive Trafford MV side.
Both Oldham's tries came in the second half, from Procter and team captain Sophie Wright.
Oldham may have lost the game, but that final try was celebrated on and off the field in superb style.
Match awards:
Forward of the match – Paige Garvey
Back of the match – Kate Howard
Opposition’s pick – Faye Lawrence
