GOLF ROUND-UP: The Captain's Drive-In at Saddleworth and the day that followed was a roaring success due to the superb weather and excellent evening social event.

In true Saddleworth fashion, the new dignitaries drove in at lunchtime.

The first to drive off was the Captain Tony Isaacs, followed by the Lady Captain Kaye Orme and the Junior Captain, Will Potts.

The Lady Captain and Captain would like to thank everyone who supported their competition and evening social event.

The competition was won by three clear points with an unbelievable 49 points!

The victory fell to the new Junior Captain, Will Potts, and the ‘Troia Champ’ himself Paul ‘Swings it, Chips it, Putts it’ Baddeley.

The pairing of youth and experience was always a force to be reckoned with and they certainly made that clear in the first white block comp of the season.

In the runners-up spot on 46 points were the unlikely pairing of Tom.com Williams and Adam Slack, the pair combined superbly and were delighted to pick up a prize!

In third place it was the older of the Potts brothers - Tom Potts - and he partnered up with Jonny ‘Give us a wave’ Givvons.

This pair built up a good partnership and Jonny ensured they ‘sparked’ up a good result!

All in all it was a fantastic club event.
