Bradley steps out of retirement and lands British title glory

Date published: 27 October 2024

Bradley Tunnacliffe, a coach at the Max Force Muay Thai gym in Lees, came out of retirement to fight for the WMO British title in the 86kg category.

This was Tunnacliffe's first fight in eight years and he lost over 12kg beforehand.

He had over 50 supporters travel to Huddersfield to cheer him on at the Cedar Court hotel where he fought on a Twin Strike promotion.

Bradley based his training at his and his wife's Shaunna Pratt Tunnacliffe's own club, Max Force muay thai and Siam camp in Huddersfield.

The end result of the fight was a unanimous decision win for Tunnacliffe and he is now the WMO British champion at 86kg.

Shaunna said: "It is an absolute privilege and honour to have a WMO champion amongst our rankings at Max Force muay thai - a feat that hasn't been achieved by many in the area of Oldham as of yet.

"We are all so proud of Brad as the time and commitment he put in to this fight camp was a real eye-opener to our students and something for them to all look up to."

Max Force also had another fighter out on the day - Khyla - who unfortunately lost her bout, but she put in her best performance so far.

Classes at Max Force are based at the hall behind St John Hey the Baptist church in Lees, on Mondays and Saturdays between 6-8pm, and Thursdays between 5-6:30pm.
