Lucas is the new Senior North West NABGC champion

Lucas Okun - who fights out of the Chadderton Boxing Club - triumphed at the recent NABGC Championships (National Association of Boys and Girls Clubs) event at the Audley Sports Centre.

Lucas, who is 20, triumphed in the Open Senior North-West Championships, in the under-67kg category.

His victory came thanks to a split decision outcome in the final.

Meanwhile, Lucas's club-mate Scott Shriane made it to the final in the same event in the under-71kg category, but was pipped to the post against a tough opponent.
