Saddleworth Cricket Club plays an important role in training those of all ages who are interested in the sport
Housebuilder Cube Homes has recently entered its second year of sponsorship of Saddleworth Cricket Club’s junior section.
This sponsorship shows the housebuilder’s commitment to supporting community development across Greater Manchester.
Founded in 1866, Saddleworth Cricket Club creates a longstanding foundation for the local community.
The cricket club plays an important role in training those of all ages who are interested in the sport, encouraging the community to participate in physical activity.
The club’s junior team is one of the most involved in the area, with a heavy focus on inclusion, skill development, and teamwork.
Cube Homes' overall three-year sponsorship will go towards supporting the club’s junior teams, helping to fund development, equipment and kit to ensure that young players can enjoy cricket in a safe and developing environment.
The sponsorship reflects the housebuilder’s wider commitment to grassroots initiatives, specifically in and around Manchester, where the company continues to build new homes that benefit from long-term community investment.
Christopher Heath, Managing Director at Cube Homes, said: “There is nothing better than seeing young talent thrive and that’s exactly what Saddleworth Cricket Club’s junior team represents.
"Sport is not just about the game; it’s also about community and giving young people excellent amenities both on and off the field.
"We look forward to cheering on the next generation of Saddleworth cricketers as well as contributing to a vibrant sporting culture that helps define the region!”
Andrew Murray, President of Saddleworth Cricket Club, added: “Support like this makes a real difference.
"Thanks to Cube Homes’ sponsorship, our junior team can invest in top-quality coaching, better facilities and more chances to get involved and grow their love for the game.
"This kind of backing helps us build a strong foundation for the future and ensures we’re ready to hit the ground running next season!”
Cube Homes is currently working on its latest development on the outskirts of Mossley.
The development will see the creation of 50 homes with seven of the properties promising to be affordable.
Cube Homes will be releasing a selection of three, four and five-bedroom properties that include two parking spaces, and an electric vehicle charging point.
