Athletic snap up talented playmaker

New Athletic midfielder Johan Branger

Athletic have signed midfielder Johan Branger on a one-year contract.  
 
The 24-year-old is a French-born playmaker who joins the Boundary Park outfit from Championnat National 2 side FC Dieppe.  
 
Branger scored 11 goals in 26 games last season and has also featured for Gabon in 2012 against South Africa.  
 
The midfielder came through the youth ranks at Auxerre before having spells with US Raon-l'Étape and FC Sens.  
 
He said: “I’m happy to be part of the Oldham Athletic family and can’t wait to challenge myself in England.” 

Earlier today, Gevaro Nepomuceno signed a one-year contract extension with Athletic.
