Fane ruled out until at least Christmas

Following the news earlier in the day that midfielder Ryan McLaughlin had left Athletic to sign for Blackpool, fellow schemer Ousmane Fane has now been ruled out for four months following a training ground injury.

Twenty-four-year-old Fane suffered a break to his left fibula and also dislocated his ankle on Friday.

It is expected the French star will be out until Christmas at the earliest.

Fane will be treated by the club’s medical staff.
