Athletic have signed Callum Lang on loan from Championship side Wigan
Athletic have confirmed that manager Frankie Bunn has bolstered his options at the top end of the pitch with the signing of Callum Lang on loan from Championship side Wigan Athletic.
The 19-year old striker will remain at Boundary Park until January 1.
Playing in League Two won’t be anything new to Lang, who featured in the division last season while on loan at Morecambe.
During his time with the Shrimps, he scored 10 goals in 30 appearances, helping them to avoid relegation out of the Football League.
Lang started his career at Liverpool before joining Wigan where he made three appearances for Paul Cook’s side.
The Chronicle reported earlier today (Tuesday) that Athletic were close to signing Lang.
