Oldham Athletic will be without Chris O’Grady for their trip to Macclesfield on Saturday.
Latics have been going through a mini resurgence under caretaker manager Pete Wild, after three wins and a draw in their last four matches.
The temporary boss is unbeaten in his short tenure so far – and will be hoping to make it another win when he takes his side to League Two strugglers Macclesfield.
But if he is to take maximum points from the Moss Rose, he will have to do it without striker O’Grady.
He has been sidelined with an ankle injury.
O’Grady has seven goals this term, including a hat-trick as Latics beat Bury 4-2 in December.
But caretaker boss Wild is not concerned about the team’s firepower without him.
He said: “It does leave us light, but we do have players in Callum Lang and Jose [Baxter].
“Jose is still coming back from an injury, but he played two years at Sheffield United as a number nine.
“We’ve got a couple of options there should we need to use them.
“We’ve got enough good players in there to get through games, it’s not a problem in my mind.”
