Oldham Athletic have announced a new partnership with Oldham college.
The deal will involve a number of sponsorship activities as well as creating opportunities for College students to gain work experience while helping the Club implement its plans for change.
College Principal and Chief Executive Alun Francis said of the partnership; “We have always supported Oldham Athletic and today we have been able to formalise this with the new owner, which is exciting for both organisations.
The College is launching a new strategic plan which sets out our priorities for the next five years. The primary aim is to deliver high quality technical education and training, and to do this we need strong partnerships with local companies and organisations.
The football club is an essential part of Oldham and we want them to do well, and they in turn want to be a key part of the community and support us in that regard. The partnership is an excellent fit for both of us.”
Latics Chairman Abdallah Lemsagam said; “We are honoured to be in partnership with Oldham College. After speaking with Alun, we both concluded that this partnership will benefit both parties going forward. The Club is proud to promote any local businesses around Oldham and hopefully we will have opportunities available for the students of Oldham College to come in and gain work experience within the Club in various different roles.”
