Latics must now replay their fourth qualifying round clash at the Deva Stadium tomorrow night
David Unsworth is still waiting for his first win as Latics boss after his side were held to a 1-1 home draw by Chester in the FA Cup.
Latics must now replay their fourth qualifying round clash at the Deva Stadium tomorrow night (Tuesday, 7.45pm kick-off), where a place in the First Round Proper will be at stake.
On Saturday Latics got off to a terrific start, with Mike Fondop smashing home early on after he was teed up smartly by Jordan Clarke,
However, Chester piled on the pressure in the second-half, and found an equaliser from Declan Weeks’ corner which was headed home by Harrison Burke.
It proved to be another frustrating afternoon for Unsworth.
After the game he said: "We need to do some work and we need to change, but at the same time the players need to change their mentality because they can't keep doing what they're doing, because we're getting the same results, we're getting the same feel to every single game we're playing in."
