Pressure growing on Unsworth after Latics are thumped

Latics remain in trouble in the National League drop zone
Latics remain in the National League drop zone after they were thumped 4-1 at leaders Notts County.
Cedwyn Scott's header put the home side in front after just four minutes, although the lead lasted a matter of seconds before Joe Nuttall equalised for the visitors on his debut.
However, Kyle Cameron restored County's lead before 10 minutes had elapsed and Ruben Rodrigues made it 3-1 when he steered home the rebound after Scott's shot was saved.
Scott grabbed his second of the game just before half-time to effectively end the contest and that proved to be the end of the scoring on another miserable day for Latics boss David Unsworth.
Since he took over from John Sheridan in September, Latics have won just twice in 15 matches, and fans rapidly losing patience.
Unsworth said of County after yesterday's game at Meadow Lane: "They were just very good.
"You have to hold your hands up, they were really good on the day.
"We’ve had a look at them now and we need to prepare for the home game in six days."
Latics return to action on New Year's Day when they host Notts in the return fixture at Boundary Park.
