Ten-man Latics sunk by Halifax

Latics were beaten 1-0 by FC Halifax Town at Boundary Park yesterday
Latics boss David Unsworth has come under fire from fans again after a dismal 1-0 home defeat by FC Halifax Town.
The home side, who lost Mike Fondop to a red card in the early stages of the second half, offered little as an attacking force on another frustrating afternoon.
The defeat leaves Latics right back on the brink of the National League drop zone.
They only remain outside the bottom four on goal difference.
Striker Emmanuel Dieseruvwe scored midway through the second half for the visitors, following up on the rebound after goalkeeper Magnus Norman had saved his penalty.
Fondop had earlier been sent off for Latics following an off-the-ball incident.
It leaves the home team in serious danger of suffering a second-successive relegation with only goal difference now separating them from 21st-place Gateshead.
Halifax climb up two places to 15th after they ended a five-match winless run in the league.
Latics are back in action on Tuesday when they host play-off chasing Dagenham & Redbridge.
