Long trek south to Eastleigh next up for Latics

Date published: 10 March 2023

Improving Latics make the long trek south to Hampshire tomorrow for a first-ever competitive away clash at Eastleigh.

The Boundary Park encounter between the two in September ended 3-2 to Latics.

Eastleigh have enjoyed a terrific National League campaign under boss Lee Bradbury, the former Manchester City striker.

Tomorrow's hosts currently sit in seventh place in the table.

Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat at Yeovil was Eastleigh's first league defeat since January, some eight games earlier.

Latics have improved significantly since the turn of the year.

David Unsworth's men have lost just three games in 13 in the National League since a Boxing Day hammering at Notts County.

Latics are currently in 14th place in the standings.
