Fondop rescues a point for Latics

Latics drew 1-1 at Dagenham yesterday
Mike Fondop scored a late leveller to earn Latics a point at Dagenham & Redbridge.
The big striker pounced with just six minutes to go at Victoria Road.
The Daggers hit the front in the 37th minute when Jay Bird played a neat combination of passes with Mo Sagaf before turning and finishing into the bottom corner.
The hosts had a chance to double their lead, but Sagaf's powerful effort was comfortably saved by Mathew Hudson.
Latics found an equaliser late on when John Rooney's corner found the head of Fondop, who nodded in from close range.
Fondop had another chance to steal the win for the Latics, but he fired straight at Joshua Strizovic who parried away from goal as both teams shared the spoils.
Latics boss David Unsworth said: "I thought we played well but we gave a soft goal away, which is something we've got to eradicate next season if we want to be up there and challenging, and we will."
Latics are back in National League action on Saturday when they host Solihull Moors.
