Latics players from the first team and academy have gathered to receive their end of season awards.

Joe Yarney's incredible 68% of the vote saw him receive the supporters' player of the season award, while Mark Kitching was chosen by the management as their player of the season.

Nathan Sheron, having played in every National League game bar one, was chosen by the players as their player of the year.

Mike Fondop's second goal against Dorking back in January scooped three awards - the management, players', and supporters' goal of the season.

Ryan Spencer picked up the academy goal of the season award for his strike against Scunthorpe, while Jake Forshaw received the management's player of the season prize.

Aaron Atkinson picked up two awards - scholars' player of the season, and parents' player of the season.

Latics bring the curtain down on their 2022/23 National League campaign on Saturday when they host play-off bound Bromley.

The game kicks off at 5.30pm.

David Unsworth's side currently sit in 11th place in the table, and could seal a top 10 finish with victory at the weekend.
