Latics moved back up into sixth place in the National League table thanks to a hard-earned 1-0 victory against Yeovil Town.
Latics, looking to extend a five-match unbeaten run, created an early opening from a well-worked corner but James Norwood saw his effort saved.
Yeovil goalkeeper Ollie Wright was then called into action again just before half-time when he tipped over Mike Fondop’s close-range header.
Wright denied Callum Dolan with another smart save just after the hour, but Latics eventually broke the deadlock with nine minutes left when Fondop nodded in Reagan Ogle’s cross.
Latics boss Micky Mellon said: "I thought we were really good.
"I thought especially in the second half we looked a really powerful team."
Latics' next fixture is on Tuesday night (24th) when they host Forest Green Rovers.
