Naylor salutes Oldham mentality

Pleased with opening-day win - Scott Naylor
Adapting well to winter-rugby conditions, Oldham won at Whitehaven for the first time in 17 years to get their Betfred League 1 campaign away to a super start.
After the 14-0 triumph club officials were thumbing through the record books to see if Roughyeds had ever 'nilled' the Cumbrians before on their own pitch.
"Apart from anything else it showed we have the mentality to win at tough places and that's an important box ticked off," said head coach Scott Naylor.
Hooker Matty Wilkinson scored the only try of the game midway through the first half after a Danny Langtree break, a Paul Crook dummy and great support work by Adam Neal.
Acting skipper Crook landed the conversion and then kicked four penalties out of five shots as Roughyeds totally dominated the second half on the back of a powerful performance by the pack.
