Bob Pugsley has died peacefully, surrounded by his family
Former Roughyeds player Bob Pugsley has died peacefully, surrounded by his family.
A very proud Welshman, Pugsley scored two tries in 14 senior games for Oldham in the 1958-59 and 1959-60 seasons.
Back then, Roughyeds were one of the top teams in Rugby League, having won the Championship in 1957 after being beaten in the 1955 Final - just to get anywhere near the senior side was an achievement in itself.
The sincere condolences of everyone at Oldham RLFC have been extended to the Pugsley family.
