Oldham have re-signed Player of the Year Emmerson Whittel on a two-year contract covering 2023 and 2024.
One of three ever-presents in 2022, 28-year-old Whittel was also voted Player of the Year by his fellow players.
Coach Stu Littler said: "Emmy's work ethic and consistency were fantastic last season.
"I can't praise him highly enough and I am absolutely delighted to have secured his services again for two years."
The former Gloucester All Golds and Keighley Cougars back-row forward, a Yorkshireman who lives in Halifax, is Oldham's first signing for 2023.
Added Litter: "What a great way to start our recruitment.
"It definitely sends out a signal and it's appropriate that we landed Emmy again on the day the club celebrated its 25th anniversary."
