Shirts for 2023 campaign revealed

Date published: 10 January 2023

Oldham Rugby League Club has unveiled the team's home and away shirts for the upcoming 2023 Betfred League One season.

The wait is over for fans, and the shirts - designed by kit partners Ellgren - are available to pre-order now.

The home jersey features the familiar and popular red and white hoops with blue trim, while the away shirt offers a fresh look with it being grey, yellow and black.

Said club chairman Chris Hamilton: “Firstly we apologise for the fact that we were not able to get these out earlier.

"With the current economic climate, I am sure people will understand that it has been harder to secure sponsorship and it has inevitably taken longer as a result.

“However, I am delighted with the position we have reached and together with the newly announced deal with Amari Plastics Manchester as our new main sponsor, we have managed to retain a number of existing partners and have also managed to bring some new companies on board.

“Despite all the challenges we continue to face, we are making progress off the field, as well as hoping to emulate that on the field this season and this is very encouraging, as people are literally buying into what the club means to the fans and the wider community.

“There has been a lot of hard work gone in to get the club to this position and we are very much looking forward to working with all our kit sponsors - old and new - throughout the coming 12 months.

“We hope that people will really like the new home and away designs, with the home kit retaining the hoops that are so popular whilst the away kit is a new and fresh design."

Priced at £48 for adults and £35 for children, pre-orders for the shirts will be delivered before Oldham's Challenge Cup game.

Sizes start from small to 7XL for men, with women’s sizes ranging from 6-22 (6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22).

Children’s start at 4 and go 6,8,10,12,14,16.

As well as the designs, the club can announce its remaining shirt sponsors, both old and new, who have committed to the club for the 2023 season.

Premier Automotive continues its sponsorship under the Premier Suzuki banner, as does H Mullaney and Son and Purpose Marketing.

Mark Anthony Kitchens and Bedrooms Ltd also offers its support, as well as Cara Construction and Lansdowne Roofing Supplies Limited

Ben Bird, director of the family-run business Premier, is delighted to continue the long-serving relationship with the club.

Said Ben: “It’s a relationship that’s in excess of ten years that we’ve supported Oldham Rugby League and with Chris.

“His enthusiasm for the club is infectious and that’s what pulled us in every season to support the club with Premier Suzuki.”

Shirley Mullaney of Mullaney and Son - one of this area’s leading waste management companies - is delighted to continue her support.

Said Shirley: “We’ve supported Oldham Rugby League for a good while now.

"We back Chris all the way and we continue to do so.

“There’s some good signings and we’ve every faith that things will happen this year.”

Julie Collins, managing director of Purpose Business and Marketing, is involved with the club at boardroom level and also assists the club on marketing matters.

She said: “We’re delighted to continue supporting the club.

"This is our sixth year being involved with the club and the fifth year as a sponsor.

“The squad is looking strong and we’re excited to support the club on the push for promotion in 2023.”

Sean Whitehead, managing director of Lansdowne Roofing Supplies Limited, continues his long-standing affiliation with the club.

Sean said: “We’ve been long-term sponsors and supported the club for a number of years and we’re happy to be on board again for the upcoming season.”

Full kits including shorts and socks - as well as remaining sponsors for 2023 - will be revealed later this week.
