POLICE searched a flat and land near Oldham Golf Club yesterday after a man's body was discovered.
Officers and an ambulance crew were called to an area of Lees New Road at 2.20pm.
Forensic investigators dressed in white overalls then sealed off the area including flats and land near a junction at Wildmoor Avenue to carry out a search.
Their work continued into the night.
Investigations
Greater Manchester Police said they were unable to say if the death was suspicious or not, and a post-mortem examination would have to be carried out.
It is understood that the man - thought to have been in his 40s - had lived alone in a flat.
Police said they were open-minded as to what had happened and investigations are continuing.
