MAYOR of Oldham Cllr Shadab Qumer and Mayoress Sobia Arshi crowning the new queen Talulah Charlesworth with flower girl Poppy Barker-Chapman
IT was a crowning moment for one young girl this weekend.
Families flocked to Garden Suburb to see Talulah Charlesworth fronting a parade, as she was formally crowned rose queen by the mayor of Oldham, councillor Shadab Qumer and mayoress Sobia Arshi at a ceremony at the Pavilion.
Blue Coat School student Talulah (12) takes over the role from Failsworth School pupil Scarlett Banks, who was last year's rose queen.
