Lessons go with a bang

OLDHAM pupils were faced with fantastic bangs, flashes and explosions this week.
Teachers have been running a series of amazing activities as part of national science week, which runs until tomorrow.
Heather May, technology director at Hathershaw School of Technology, said: “We have been running activities all week, and the children have absolutely loved them.
“They especially enjoyed the Falconry display and the science explosion outside the school as this has enhanced what they are learning in their science curriculum.”
At Royton and Crompton School, the specialist science college put on a raft of science activities to extend pupils’ knowledge and understanding. And the University of Manchester brought along its explosive Whizz Bang roadshow to present to pupils.
