Violent duo on run from police

AN Oldham woman who viciously attacked an 81-year-old man during a violent robbery is wanted by police.
Officers are hunting Leanne Twist (26) who failed to return to her hostel over two weeks ago, in turn breaking her bail conditions.
Twist was originally jailed for five years after she forced her way into the flat of Rupert Martinez in Manchester Street before beating him with a plank of wood in September, 2008.
She got away with just £10 and left the pensioner too terrified to return to his home.
Twist, who was released under strict bail conditions on March 14, is now wanted on a recall to prison.
Police are also hunting 21-year-old Stacey Preston, who left the Rochdale hostel on March 24 with Twist, and is wanted on a court warrant after an assault in May, last year. Both women have family and friends in Oldham, Rochdale and Bolton.
Police Constable Gary Simkin said: “We strongly advise anybody that they don`t approach either of them — instead please contact police.”
